YORN!!

I have to admit, I am kind of surprised in all my blogging I have never had a post about my most favorite musician. Pete Yorn.

I am fully dedicated to my man Pete. For those of you who are not familiar, first of all, shame on you, but check out his site for some music samples.

Pete Yorn

My obsession started about 5 years ago when I saw a video of his and one of those behind the scenes type of shows for a song called Strange Condition off Pete's first album Music for the Morning After. It was like a 2 minute clip but I knew I loved the music and I really dug him.

A few months later me and the girls were in Atlanta for this awesome Music Festival called Music Midtown and Pete was a performer. It took me a minute to realize that I knew who this guy was and once I saw the whole set I was IN. The next morning Suser and I were waiting for the plane and who was standing there but a very tired looking Pete Yorn. I ran right over to him and said something stupid and unintelligible, but I still got to talk to him, since then I have been fortunate enough to meet Pete about 5 more times. Each time I turn into a giggly little idiot, but I always get my picture :)

So here we are 5 years and 3 albums later and for this tour he is hitting small clubs all over the country. One of which is the soon to close CBGB's in New York. I decided I had to go, not only b/c its Pete but also b/c he was going to be one of the closing acts at a place that has SOOO much musical history associated with it.

I drug Suser and Maaark with me on a rainy Thursday night and even though the sound system sucked we saw one awesome show.
